DIMAT

Development of advanced digital technologies for the European materials industry

OBJECTIVES

The DiMAT project aims to develop digital modelisation and simulation tools to optimize each step of the materials value chain: conception, transformation, production. The goal is to enhance the quality, sustainability, efficiency and competitivity of materials. In addition to the development of the digital toolkit, four pilots are implemented in order to assess the tools performance at each step of the material value chain. Four use cases scenarios will be developed, allowing to study four types of materials for specific applications: polymers compounds for synthetic textiles, technical composites, graphite ant carbon black, and glass.

NATUREPLAST’S ROLE

NaturePlast is in charge of one of the pilots studied within the framework of the project. This pilot will develop formulations of polymers that will be spun for the technical textile industry (agriculture, fishing). Thanks to its expertise, NaturePlast guides the developers partners in the design of a software adapted to industrial needs.
