From June 2 to 5, 2026, the NaturePlast team attended FIP, the leading trade show dedicated to plastics, composites, and rubber. This year’s event gave our teams the opportunity to showcase their expertise in bioplastic formulation and, through numerous discussions, to confirm the growing interest among manufacturers in more sustainable material solutions tailored to specific technical needs.
Bioplastic solutions tailored to industrial challenges
Throughout the trade show, visitors to our booth were able to explore various formulation approaches developed by NaturePlast to address the challenges faced by manufacturers. The discussions highlighted the need to balance technical performance, environmental concerns, and processing constraints.
The discussions focused in particular on several topics:
- The incorporation of by-products into biocomposite formulations to impart new textures, appearances, and properties to the materials.
- The development of biobased and/or biodegradable compounds that meet specific requirements depending on the intended applications.
- The importance of eco-design in the selection of materials and consideration of their end-of-life.
- Regulatory changes and their impact on material selection and innovation strategies.
These discussions once again confirmed the importance of a tailored approach to supporting industrial projects and offering solutions adapted to each application, while optimizing the use of available biomass.
An important event for the industry
FIP remains a key event for all industry stakeholders. The 2026 edition provided an opportunity to meet with our partners, customers, suppliers, and numerous project leaders who came to discuss developments in the bioplastics market.
These meetings provide an opportunity to better understand the expectations of manufacturers, identify emerging needs, and advance future development and innovation projects.
