On 23 and 24 September, NaturePlast had the pleasure of welcoming participants to a training course on bio-based and/or biodegradable polymers in partnership with Bioeconomy For Change. These two days of training enabled participants to acquire knowledge in this field while discovering the industrial processes involved in transforming bioplastics.
Day 1: An enriching day of theory
On this first day of training, participants learned about the fundamentals: an overview of the bioplastics market, material properties, areas of application, limitations and points to consider.
The module aimed to provide a clear and structured overview of bio-based and/or biodegradable thermoplastics with a focus on product innovation.
Day 2: Time for practice
The second day provided an opportunity to move from theory to practice: participants had the chance to carry out a practical exercise on compounding, test tube injection and material characterisation. This format, combining theory and practice, provided a better understanding of the processing stages and specific characteristics of bioplastics.
Through hands-on activities and discussions, everyone was able to consolidate their knowledge and gain a better understanding of the criteria for choosing materials and processes.
We would like to thank all participants for their involvement, curiosity and the quality of the discussions. This session was particularly rich in sharing and feedback. A real pleasure for the trainers! Thanks also to Bioeconomy For Change for this successful partnership.
