PHAs (PolyHydroxyAlkanoates) are biobased, biodegradable thermoplastic polyesters produced by micro-organism fermentation of sugars or lipids.
Developments currently being industrialized will eventually enable these polymers to be produced from waste or by-products from various industries.
PHAs are suitable for applications such as rigid packaging andagriculture/horticulture.

Properties
- 100% biobased
- Biodegradable and compostable in various environments
- Rigid
- Food contact by grade
- Opaque
