Objectives
The aim of the Natur’In project is to develop several eco-designed demonstrators of a single automotive interior trim part in natural fiber composite (flax and hemp) and biobased thermoplastic, with a level of finish equivalent to the plastic parts used today. These demonstrators will be evaluated according to the automotive industry’s demanding criteria, such as dimensional stability, mechanical strength, UV resistance, cost, etc.
A recycling solution will be explored, along with the production of a demonstrator using the recycled material. In addition, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will be carried out to evaluate and compare the environmental impact of the parts designed.
