A biobased plastic is not necessarily biodegradable, although it can be, just as it can be recycled.
For many years, the industry has been trying to diversify the biomasses it uses, and to free itself from competition with food uses.
That’s why we’re working on the use of waste or inedible biomass to manufacture biobased plastics.
