PLA, or polylactic acid, is a biobased plastic matrix made from renewable resources such as corn starch and sugar cane. It is recognized for its biodegradability under industrial composting conditions.
In our biocomposites, PLA is combined with natural by-products, such as plant fibers or shellfish, to create high-performance materials with a minimal environmental footprint. These biocomposites are distinguished by their rigidity, transparency and natural appearance, in addition to their ability to decompose in controlled environments. Ideal for 3D applications and design parts, they offer an aesthetic alternative to traditional plastics.

Properties
- 100% biobased
- Industrially compostable
- Rigid and fragile
