Biobased PAs are a range of high-performance polymers with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties.
They have been used industrially for several decades for technical applications (automotive, construction, etc.). They can contain high levels of biobased ingredients, often produced from castor oil, but are not biodegradable.
Biobased PAs are generally long-chain polyamides, namely PA 10 and PA 11.
